What you’ll need to claim
Having the right documents ready is the fastest route to settlement. Here’s what we’ll ask for — overall, and for each type of claim.
All claims (general)
These apply to every claim, whatever the cover.
- Completed claim form
- Your policy number or schedule
- A clear description of the incident
- Supporting evidence (photographs, reports, receipts)
- Your contact and bank details for settlement
By claim type
Motor claims
- Completed motor claim form
- Copy of the driver's licence
- Copy of the vehicle registration / roadworthy certificate
- Police report (for accidents, theft or third-party injury)
- Photographs of the damage
- Repair estimate from a garage
- Third-party details, where applicable
Home Owners claims
- Completed claim form
- Your policy schedule
- Photographs of the damage
- Police report (for theft or malicious damage)
- Receipts or proof of ownership for damaged items
- Repair or replacement estimates
Fire & Property claims
- Completed claim form
- Your policy schedule
- Ghana National Fire Service report
- Photographs of the damage
- Inventory of damaged property with values
- Repair or replacement estimates
Marine & Transit claims
- Completed claim form
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Bill of lading, airway bill or consignment note
- Survey report, where arranged
- Photographs of the damage
- Your claim lodged against the carrier or port authority
Liability & Accident claims
- Completed claim form
- Full circumstances of the incident
- Medical reports (for injury claims)
- Police report, where applicable
- Any demand or correspondence received
- Witness statements, where available
