What does public liability insurance cover?
It covers your legal liability to pay compensation if a third party is injured, or their property is damaged, because of your business. Typical examples are a customer slipping on your premises, a falling sign, or damage caused while you work at a client's site. The policy pays the damages awarded and the associated legal and defence costs.
Can I add products liability?
Yes. If your business makes, sells or supplies goods, Products Liability cover responds to injury or damage caused by those products after they leave your hands. It is commonly arranged together with public liability under one combined limit.
