What does personal accident insurance pay?

The policy pays a capital sum on accidental death and a scaled benefit for permanent total or partial disability. It also reimburses medical expenses arising from an accident, and can include a weekly benefit for temporary disability that keeps you from work. Benefits are paid in addition to any other insurance you hold.

What is group accident cover?

Group cover insures a defined set of people — employees, members of an association, or a sports team — under one policy at a competitive rate. It is a popular, affordable employee benefit and is often paired with Workmen's Compensation for staff.

How much cover do I need?

Choose a sum insured that reflects your income and dependants. A common guide is several times your annual earnings, so that a serious injury does not leave your family financially exposed. Our estimator shows indicative premiums for typical cover bands.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Is personal accident the same as life insurance?
No. Personal accident pays only for accidental injury, disability or death and is a non-life (general insurance) product. It complements, rather than replaces, life cover.
Can I cover my whole team under one policy?
Yes. Group Personal Accident insures a defined group under a single policy, usually at a lower per-person rate than individual cover.
Does it pay medical bills?
Yes. The policy reimburses medical expenses arising from a covered accident, up to the limit you select.
